Free E-Filing Generates Big Numbers
September 16, 2008 – 9:48 amAs federal and state mandates require more practitioners to file returns electronically, our free electronic filing program assisted as more of you file returns electronically.
This past tax season saw an increase of 59 percent over last year for the total federal returns filed electronically. Before year’s end, we will see over 1.4 million federal returns filed using TaxWorks and 1040Works.
State electronic filing surged to a 46 percent increase, and bank products more than doubled with an increase of 114 percent.
